Welcome to Sixth Grade Math and Science!
Homework Policy
1) Math homework will be about ½ hour a night, Monday - Thursday Students must show work to get credit.
2) Homework must be turned in on the day it is due. NO late work is given credit, except in case of illness.
3) Projects can be turned in late with one grade off for each day late.
4) Last name and First name MUST be on the homework in order to get credit.
5) In case of illness, it is the student’s responsibility to get the assignment from the assignment calendar or on this site.
6) Students have one chance to retake tests they have bad grades on. This can be done before or after school in the library.

Some things to look forward to this school year
2) The Harvest Festival in October.
3) A Field Trip to Joshua Tree National Monument and a class taught by the rangers in November.
4) Token Economy- A chance to earn Griswold Bucks to use to set up your own business in June. We will be inviting other classes in to buy at our stores. We will pay taxes and have an auction of prizes.
5) Pi Day on March 13- We’ll explore the circumference of a circle, and eat circular food, sing Pi songs , and tell Pi jokes.

6) Reward Days, once a quarter, for every student who has not been on the exclusion list, has a B average, and no more than 11 tardies.
7) 6th Grade Olympics in June.
8) Trip in May or June.
9) Not to mention dances, spirit days, and all the new things you’ll be learning!
